Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend (WFSCB) has recruited over 25 employers to participate in its first round of Emerging Leaders Initiative Youth Career Exploration & Job Fairs on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the WFSCB Career Center and the Sunrise Mall. This event will provide an opportunity for young adults to apply for a job which will lead to a meaningful work experience while developing the skills, attitudes and commitment necessary to succeed in today’s world of work. Job seekers can pre-register for the job fair online at www.workforcesolutionscb.org.

Young adults ages 16 and up are invited to the Youth Job Fair and should come prepared with plenty of resumes and dressed professionally as employers may conduct interviews on the spot. This industry-focused job fair will include entry level jobs in retail, food service, healthcare, auto detail, factory work and construction.

Two other Emerging Leaders Initiative Youth Career Exploration & Job Fairs targeting WFSCB’s rural counties are scheduled on:

The Emerging Leaders Initiative (Project ELI) encourages youth to pursue post-secondary education goals while emphasizing the importance of remaining drug-free. Project ELI provides local labor market & career information along with the soft skills desired by local employers to young adults throughout the Coastal Bend region.
