In partnership with the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC), and other stakeholders, Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend will host a Hiring Red, White & You! Hiring Fair for local veterans, service members and their spouses as part of a statewide initiative on Thursday, November 10th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Sunrise Mall and Career Center located at 5858 S.P.I.D., Suite 1 in Corpus Christi, Texas. This is TWC’s fifth annual Hiring Red, White & You! Statewide Hiring Fair which is a joint initiative supported by the Office of the Governor, the Texas Medical Center and the Texas Veterans Commission to connect veterans in Texas with employers who are hiring. Special guest, Aaron Demerson from the Texas Workforce Commission will launch the hiring fair after a brief ceremony with the Color Guard and remarks from local dignitaries and other representatives.

Over 75 Coastal Bend employers have registered for the Hiring Red, White & You! Hiring Fair looking to fill various positions in the 12-county region. Over the past 12 months, Workforce Solutions of the Coastal has provided priority service to 4,424 veterans which includes a two-day hold on all new job openings posted in the statewide online job database, www.workintexas.com.

Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend appreciates and values the service of our nation’s veterans and considers it a privilege to help them and their families enter or return to the workforce as quickly as possible. All Texas veterans, service members and spouses are encouraged to attend the Hiring Red, White & You! Hiring Fair and offers some job fair tips: dress professionally, bring plenty of resumes, be prepared to interview, and most importantly – bring a winning attitude.
